The name MaSatori blends two Japanese concepts:

  • Ma: the space between things. The pause. The moment of potential.
  • Satori: awakening or insight.

Together, they capture our philosophy: that transformation happens not by pushing harder, but by making space. Space to reflect. To notice. To practise. To grow.

Our approach is holistic, systemic and human. We are not here to motivate through mantras or tidy up messy realities with acronyms. We’re not in the business of shrink-wrapped learning. MaSatori is run by husband and wife team, Gary & Sharon Strickland-Clark.

Sharon Strickland-Clark

Sharon Strickland-Clark is a Systemic Team Coach, ICF PCC Leadership Coach and High Flow Coach. 

Somebody kindly called her a “commercially intelligent human strategist”. Sharon brings a decade of experience assisting high-achievers move beyond the conventional aspiration for ‘just’ high-performance. Sharon shows leaders and their teams how to create the environment within which they can reliably achieve a state of operational flow - a state which has proven to be more effective, more effortless, more sustainable, less wasteful and more commercially impactful.

To achieve this, Sharon's work focuses on the psychology and neuroscience that underpins intrinsic performance: how leaders focus, respond, and relate under pressure.

By harmonising physiology and psychology, she helps leaders operate with more clarity, composure and influence. This approach results in stronger, calmer, decision-making, deeper team cohesion, and dramatically better long-term outcomes. This is particularly focused on organisations requiring optimised performance across teams of teams - as might be the case in newly merged organisations, for example.

Organisations that work with Sharon don’t just become more human. They become more aligned, better able to adapt, and ultimately, more successful. As a result, they necessarily become more human.

She’s known for her rare ability to calm the noise, create space for what truly matters, and guide individuals and teams to deliver lasting value in complex, fast-moving environments.

Gary Strickland-Clark

Sales mentor and educator. Gary has operated in and led top-performing sales and marketing teams in global tech and start-ups for 40 years. Having been responsible for tens of millions of pounds of SaaS sales in banking & finance, airlines, manufacturing, retail, telecoms and numerous other sectors, he’s studied, used and taught the art of trust-based selling long before it was fashionable - helping capable salespeople become deeply trusted advisors, not just revenue chasers.

Gary’s success is based on the premise that the highest performing leaders in Sales think and behave very differently to even capable, competent salespeople. The skillset is quite different and isn’t found in conventional sales books and courses. He knows this because he spent the first 20 years of his career looking for them.

Conventional sales protocol has created a ‘best practice’ which has become ‘standard practice’. A practice to which jaded customers have learned to avoid because it is primarily focused on the salesperson achieving their own objectives.

The answer, he believes, is to establish relationships upon foundations of trust, genuine customer orientation, appreciation of strategy and committing to relationships over the long term. It also helps if one really understands the psychology of buyers who, it turns out, are humans, not spreadsheets.

The headlines seem childishly simple, but, in spite of searching for one for years, there is no silver bullet. What makes the difference is the dozens of details in the execution. It is this detail which we now pass on to our clients’ delegates.
